Abstract

The following article examines the psychology behind Millennials' interest in ruins tourism. By focusing on the authenticity and uniqueness of these places, we highlight how images projected on social media play an important role in travel decisions. This information was obtained through a combination of historical analysis and contemporary data. The historical background is created by dividing tribes into sedentary and nomadic tribes, thus illustrating to us how mobility has developed since ancient times. The conclusion shows that ruins tourism can enrich the culture and character of each place and even transform horrors into tourist attractions. For millennials, this type of tourism goes beyond the search for peace and beauty, exploring the unknown and evoking unconventional emotions such as fear and adventure.
