The study addresses the influence of color on children's perception and emotional response to children's movies. In an era where
children are constantly exposed to audiovisual content, it is crucial to understand how visual elements, especially colors, affect
their emotional and cognitive development. Colors contribute significantly to creating magical, exciting or comforting environments,
enriching children's cinematic experience and aiding in the formation of values and identity. Its general objective is to identify the
influence of color in the audiovisual communication of children's cinema. Specific objectives include defining the psychological
sensation of color in children's perception and emotional response, evaluating the role of color in audiovisual communication, and
demonstrating the importance of visual communication in children's cinema. The research methodology included a review of color
theory and its application in cinema, as well as interviews with children to corroborate the emotional effects of the use of color in
children's cinema. Goethe's and Eva Heller's theories on color psychology were investigated and their implications for children's
filmmaking were evaluated. In addition, film studies from Disney and Pixar were considered to analyze how they use colorimetry
to impact children's emotional perception.Conducting an interview with children resulted in the finding that colors have a significant
impact on children's perception and emotional response. The conscious use of color psychology by directors and production designers
in children's cinema can positively influence children's emotional experience and their ability to appreciate visual beauty. The study
concluded that colorimetry in children's cinema is crucial not only for the aesthetics of the film, but also for the emotional and
educational impact on children. A proper use of color can help in the formation of values and the development of children's identity,
while misuse can generate confusion and convey incorrect messages. Therefore, it is essential that children's filmmakers understand
and effectively apply the psychology of color in their productions.
