Abstract

Psychedelia, a cultural and aesthetic movement that emerged in the 60s, in today's digital content, especially in social
networks. This movement, characterized by vibrant colors, geometric patterns and altered states of consciousness,
challenged the traditional norms of the time, impacting areas such as music, art, fashion and film, in the digital environment,
psychedelia has re-emerged as a key tool to capture attention in an oversaturated market. Elements such as intense colors,
hypnotic patterns and visual effects allow creating memorable sensory experiences. Tools such as augmented reality and
social media filters democratize its use, allowing users to actively participate as creators of psychedelic content.
The emotional impact of this aesthetic includes positive emotions, such as joy and creativity, although overstimulation can be a risk.
Therefore, the article stresses the need to balance visual design with audience well-being. It also raises ethical and legal
considerations, such as avoiding the exaltation of psychedelic substances and complying with regulations that protect vulnerable
users, in digital marketing, psychedelia has become an effective strategy to differentiate brands and strengthen emotional
connections with the audience. However, more research is needed on its long-term impact on mental health and guidelines for its
ethical application.
