Guidelines for the economic, cultural and social development of Pamplona, Colombia

This research exposes the importance of knowing
the basic concepts of economic, social and cultural
development, which could lead to the progress
of any territory through proposals generated by
governments and worked together with communities.
The study has a mixed methodology, which presents
a systematized integration of quantitative and
qualitative methods with a deductive and crosssectional approach. The methodological phases make
it possible to address the importance of social, cultural
and economic development from the standpoint of the
potential to achieve the internal development of each
country and to recognize the importance of culture
within communities; analyze the role of culture in the
socio-economic development of Pamplona, Norte de
Santander; and propose guidelines for articulating
economic development, social and cultural, as a tool for
the transformation and appropriation of the municipal
territory of different spaces of youth participation and
the use of technological advances, social networks
and globalization by these mainstream media. The
results can be useful for municipalities that have
relevant cultural heritage events or for contexts that
desire to promote economic development through
cultural management.
