Socioeconomic status of single mothers in the family welfare program in the Aguas Calientes neighborhood, La Libertad-Norte de Santander

The socio-economic status of the mothers head of family which are part of the Family Welfare Institute Program in the neighborhood Aguas Calientes, La Libertad Cúcuta, Norte de Santander is analyzed here, taking into account that currently, even though it has given more space and opportunities for women, It continues to be a huge obstacle the fact that they are women in conditions of single mothers or heads of family at the time to be taken into account to apply to well-paying jobs and be recognized in society as the pillars that support the whole family. The research gives us very conclusive results which indicates that the social status of the group of mothers taken as reference for the study is quite below the standards of a social and economic stable life and this is reflected in that 75% of mothers are in a socioeconomic level 1, factors such as settling down with a couple at an early age, the level of education, liquor and drugs consumption, all of these as a result of not having the optimal conditions for having a better lifestyle that influence in the economic status of homes in Cúcuta.
