Abstract

This research explores the relevance of programming in educational training, identifying as main problems the lack of teacher training and the scarcity of technological resources, which limit its effective teaching. The objectives include analyzing the current state of programming teaching, evaluating the difficulties faced by teachers and students, and proposing innovative methodological strategies, such as the use of playful tools (Scratch, Code.org). Using a qualitative and exploratory-descriptive approach, a documentary review and a survey of students in Cúcuta, Colombia were carried out. The results revealed that 49% of the students have not received programming classes, 66% consider their knowledge null or basic, and only 34.5% have regular access to technological resources. In addition, there was a perception of high difficulty and lack of interest in programming. The conclusions highlight the need to improve teacher training, increase access to technology and implement motivational strategies.
