Abstract

This research has the overall objective to determine the reasons and circumstances of the lack of competitiveness, productivity and innovation in the fashion industry in Cucuta with the rest of the country, to seek alternatives that would help increase competitiveness. To achieve the purpose an explanatory / qualitative study was conducted on the determinants of competitiveness
in cucuteñas companies in the business environment factors. Based on aspects of theoretical order, is an analysis about how competitive can be companies Cúcuta and its metropolitan area to face the world of globalization, along with a series of conceptual and theoretical elements for determining the importance competitiveness in the business world.A descriptive study was carried out to the full dynamic process that involves for a company to become competitive and self sustaining in the city, and achieve position itself as before the others. This study was conducted through a survey and staff to those companies dedicated to the business of fashion in Cucuta and starting to identify the degree of competitiveness in the fashion industry is interview, also taking into account previous studies and reports given by the Chamber of Commerce of Cúcuta in progress competitiveness cluster of cucuteña fashion. As remarkable results evidenced today with the dynamics of aggressive competition, you need to build competitive advantage, productivity strategies and innovation that are focused on the daily reach of competitiveness through factors such as value added, quality and design for customer loyalty while increasing economic exchange in the region. Also you can show that we need a greater commitment by the companies as one of the biggest problems that occur in the fashion industry is the lack of standardization of processes and strategic direction that promotes efficiency and effectiveness of organizations based on human talent.
