Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of established controls to reduce the teenage crime rate in the Cucuta city-Colombia. This phenomenon of juvenile delinquency is something that fits in the spaces of a society in which its material structure, and their consequent social formation, is in a deep crisis. “Children don’t know legal standards but ways to survive such a situation; the instinct for survival no ages or regulations can have an impact on it.” So if we
want to reducqe the crime rate, should do a public policy in the Colombian State in the field of prevention of juvenile delinquency. This implies that prevention strategies in the educational, social sector in prevention are created in which the territorial entities and invest in the prevention of these crimes.
