Impact of the Rural Economy in Colombia

This paper analyzes the impact, importance, and growth of the rural economy for the country's development. It also presents various problems affecting this sector, identifying political, economic, and social barriers. The main objective of this article is to demonstrate the crucial importance of the agricultural sector for the country's economic development and functioning. The article was written by financial administration students, based on a literature review of university repositories such as Scielo, Redalyc, and Dialnet, among others. Therefore, it is essential that farmers be given the dignity they deserve and that this sector have the same guarantees and opportunities as other sectors of the country's economy, without diminishing the importance of any of them. Ultimately, this sector is the most important for our survival, both in human and economic terms.
