It was carried out by reviewing different bibliographic sources searched by Google academic such as articles, informative newspapers, in order to collect updated, reliable and accurate information on cultural tourism. As a result, we obtained how important the tourism sector is in Colombia since it is an industry that is in constant movement, growth and evolution, bringing with it economic, social, cultural contributions and sustainable development. Tourism today, more than a simple trip, is based on a life experience, which has led to the care and preservation of the country's cultural heritage since they are the ones that capture the attention of tourists and make them visit a certain place; “Tourists demand cities that have movement and a typical semblance of the destinations reflected in their music, food, trends in even idioms.” This sector achieves what others do not, which is the mixture of cultures, it allows us to learn about history, customs and so on, it manages to consolidate ties between peoples focused on their progress and development.
