Implementation of the presidential project “Employment without connections” in the city of Cúcuta

Abstract

t is common to find young graduates working in street vending, taxis, or even without any job. They are in this situation because they are not accepted by any company due to a lack of sufficient work experience upon completing their academic studies. In recent years, several factors have contributed to this, but the main and most concerning is the lack of confidence employers have in young people's work capabilities. This project aims to analyze the implementation of the presidential project, "Employment Without Connections," in the financial sector of the city of Cúcuta. The first stage involved studying the project's master document, followed by a statistical analysis of the information collected through a survey administered in the financial sector. The main finding was a very high level of acceptance of the project and quite good implementation within the framework permitted by the main branches. It was determined that the presidential project “Employment without connections” has a high degree of acceptance, but despite this it cannot yet be fully implemented, because the project framework emphasizes that the city of Cúcuta will begin its monitoring in June 2015.
