Abstract

In the Cúcuta city disease incontinence (involuntary loss of urine) is not a problem really investigated, this being one of the problems experienced by most people in the Cúcuta city, especially in patients older than 60 years; affect the person’s self-esteem. This research aims to evaluate the performance and impact of incontinence in the Cúcuta city; as part of the methodology is to evaluate the main causes: changes in women’s genital and urinary system due to age or the onset of menopause, when the man in the prostate diseases develop. It was determined that diabetes or other disorders, such as spinal cord injury, thrombosis or cerebral bleeding, can affect the voluntary bladder control due to the lack of information and also a degree of ignorance there are no alternative measures for improving quality of life of people who have involuntary loss of urine.
