Abstract

One of the processes that supports environmental sustainability is that carried out in the textile sector through the preparation of fibers that do not harm the environment. The relationship between the need for and acceptance of these fibers by customers is fundamental; therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the concept of sustainable fashion and explore the different alternatives to industrial processes that allow consumers' fashion needs to be met responsibly. The results obtained indicate that eco-friendly textiles are not widely known, but once their scope is explained, 100% of consumers would be willing to purchase them. Ecological textile processes are a new concept that will take time to become familiar to most people, since, according to the results, the processes normally used to achieve the results of the fabrics they use daily are not well understood.
