Abstract

Health tourism can be viewed as a genuine opportunity for social and economic development in any region. It is a tourism activity that maintains a growing trend at the international, national, and local levels. This trend has generated a massive movement of people residing in developed countries to developing countries. Leveraging wellness tourism presents an opportunity for emerging countries to generate more income, allowing them to gain global recognition. Currently, there are initiatives being promoted by the national government, such as "World-Class Sectors" and "Productive Transformation Sectors," given the increasing importance of this component. Patients living abroad notice that accessing cosmetic and surgical procedures is becoming more expensive. This is the main reason for undergoing these procedures in countries like ours.
