Abstract

The main objective of this article is to analyze the accessibility of credit for the growth and development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the city of Cúcuta, Norte de Santander. A quantitative research methodology is used, as it is based on obtaining quantifiable data through observation, with a descriptive scope since it describes and analyzes the characteristics and functions of the phenomenon. The research revealed very cost-effective ways to conduct research and development. Among the most important is accessing academic resources. Currently, there are research groups at all universities that can take on one or more companies and conduct an analysis and monitoring of their economic environment, provide support in strategic planning, marketing, and financial management, sometimes even free of charge.
