Resumen

Este artículo explora la producción científica relacionada con el Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible 11 (ODS 11): Ciudades y Comunidades Sostenibles, destacando la importancia de las transformaciones psicosociales y de gobernanza necesarias para alcanzar estos objetivos. A través de un enfoque de revisión documental, se analizan las tendencias emergentes en la investigación sobre sostenibilidad urbana, incluyendo la necesidad de un cambio cultural hacia la sostenibilidad y la adopción de modelos de gobernanza más participativos e inclusivos. El estudio subraya que, más allá de las innovaciones tecnológicas y las políticas públicas, el éxito de la transición hacia ciudades sostenibles depende de la integración de valores de cooperación, equidad y responsabilidad en la sociedad, así como de la implementación de mecanismos de gobernanza que involucren activamente a todos los actores en el proceso de toma
de decisiones. Este artículo proporciona una visión integral de los desafíos y oportunidades en la creación de ciudades sostenibles, resaltando la necesidad de enfoques holísticos y colaborativos para cumplir con el ODS 11.
