Fundación Universitaria Cafam is a high-quality institution recognized for its commitment to integral training and entrepreneurship promotion, in which they provide a supportive environment for the development of entrepreneurial skills, given this, the main objective was to analyze the causes that hinder the internationalization of enterprises developed by students and graduates of the Cafam University Foundation. The research adopted a quantitative, multivariate correlational approach, using as an instrument a structured survey with 32 items, applied to a non-probabilistic sample of entrepreneurs linked to the institution. The results showed that participation in entrepreneurship is mostly led by women and students of the business administration program, however, internationalization is low due to limitations such as lack of access to finance, low digitization, logistics costs, lack of market knowledge and digital marketing skills. It is concluded that the institutional strategies strengthened to accompany these processes interact significantly in the possibilities of international expansion of university enterprises and propose strengthening the training in foreign trade adding to this information Institutions for access to resources and support networks focused on business internationalization.
