Abstract

ABSTRACT In the article looks on the social representations of parents with teens about sexuality, considering sexuality as an important in human life issue, adheres or not precisely on the stage adolescence, will have two phases, the first phase of the research was carried out by two applications in two different contexts with 16 participants including 8 parents and 8 adolescents aged between 12 and 17 years old living in San Jose de Cucuta, where semi-structured interviews, focus groups and field diary was applied. In the results it was possible to identify the social representations of parents about sexuality, are not clear, ignorance on the issues and inhibitions to talk to their children, just as it is evident that the representations if influence persists certain way in the sex lives of their children because they infer a total ignorance of the subject and have no notion of a guide who can guide because the information received about sexuality is insufficient. The findings of the first phase will deepen relevant and important aspects in the implementation of instruments to be held in the second phase.
