The objective of this article is to understand how artificial intelligence impacts the development of social and solidarity economy organizations in Latin America. The research, using a mixed-method exploratory approach, enabled the collection of information from secondary sources, as well as tools applicable to social and solidarity economy organizations and specialists in these disruptive technologies. The descriptive analysis was accompanied by the calculation of Pearson correlation coefficients, which allowed us to find significant relationships between the level of knowledge about artificial intelligence, the availability of trained professionals, and the effective application of disruptive technologies. The results showed that, although artificial intelligence was used in the solidarity economy sector, it faced significant obstacles such as a lack of technical training, insufficient technological infrastructure, and a scarcity of financial resources, among many others. However, there were significant benefits in terms of optimizing processes, improving community relations, and increasing efficiency. The results revealed a growing interest in integrating artificial intelligence solutions into the procedures of solidarity organizations. This research indicates that, on the one hand, these organizations recognize the transformative potential of technology; however, they need to develop inclusive and sustainable policies that eliminate the barriers to harnessing this potential.
